How to File Complaints to
Duane Reade and NYLPI

**Remember to report problems to Duane Reade and to New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI)**

To report an accessibility problem to Duane Reade:

  • Call the customer service number required to be posted in every store. or
  • Some stores will also have "suggestion boxes" that customers can use to file a written complaint.

** It is very important that problems are properly reported to Duane Reade. Duane Reade is not responsible for any violations for which it does not have "reasonable notice."


To report an accessibility problem to NYLPI:

Call 1-888-DIA-DIA-8 (1-888-342-3428). This will take you directly to a voice mailbox at NYLPI.

Leave a message and include the following information:

  • Your name and phone number
  • A description of the problem you had including:
    • The date and time of the problem
    • The location (cross streets, borough) of the store
    • The nature of the problem
    • How you reported it to Duane Reade, including the name of the person you spoke to, if any.
    • What action, if any, they took in response.


**It is important that any problem reported to Duane Reade is also reported to NYLPI so that we can monitor compliance and follow up on complaints.
